Senior Business Leadership Experience

Simon is a former Vice President of Microsoft.  In 17 years at Microsoft, Simon led UK Enterprise Sales, served as Country Manager of Microsoft  Sweden and led international operations for the Developer & Platform Evangelism division, responsible for developing the ecosystem around Microsoft's software platform – a critical role for the company.    At Microsoft, Simon led large organisations, delivered on $1B sales budgets and had a track record of leading successful change projects at country, regional and global level.   Prior to joining Microsoft in 1993, Simon was at IBM for 10 years in mainly high end enterprise sales roles. 

In addition to Simon's strong business experience, he put energy and care into building leadership teams, growing talent and diversity.  In Sweden, his leadership team was 40% female and he went on to be the Executive Sponsor for Diversity in Microsoft's EMEA region.   

Simon is also Chairman of the Board of Red Gate Software, 3T Software Labs, and Osper Ltd.  

Coaching Experience

Simon has 20 years coaching experience as a senior business leader and independent business coach.  He is a graduate of the Meyler Campbell Business Coach Programme, accredited with the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches.  His coaching supervisor is Carol Kauffman, Professor of Psychology and Director of Harvard's Institute of Coaching.

More about Simon 

A 55-year old family man with his wife, Lou, and two sons.  A marathon running, yachtsman who loves mountain walking (including the famous GR20 trail across Corsica).  Simon also enjoys golf, reading a good novel, and fine wine. 

Simon is a Myers Briggs INTJ and StrengthsFinderTM Strategic-Achiever-Learner-Relator-Ideation.  He has a 1st Class Honours Degree in Engineering Mathematics from the University of Bristol, UK.
